The Cadillac XT5 is a great choice for those who want luxury and safety. The new vehicle comes with some of the latest technology to keep you safe on the roads.

Here are just a few of the Cadillac XT5's safety features:

Forward Collision Alert- If you're driving 50 mph or less and a pedestrian, cyclist, another vehicle etc. is in front of the car and the radar and camera system detects it will lead to a crash, an alarm will sound and brakes apply automatically if needed.

As America’s most loved luxury domestic car brand for decades and counting, the CT4 adds to Cadillac’s rich history by providing one the safest sedans on the entire market. With so many features, Cadillac has rightfully named this suite the "Cadillac Smart System". It includes many features in the wonderfully luxurious CT4, like Front Pedestrian Braking, Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Safety Alert Seat, Rear Seat Reminder, Vehicle Diagnostics, Teen Driver mode, Rear Park Assist and an HD Rear Vision Camera for backing up.

Cadillac equips the latest XT5 models in our Fairfield Cadillac inventory with a generous list of standard safety features. The amenities include a rearview camera, which makes any action requiring backing up easier thanks to being able to see behind the vehicle clearly. Automatic forward emergency braking engages the brakes automatically should the driver not respond to a forward collision warning.

Lane-departure warnings alert the driver should the vehicle veer into an adjoining lane that may be occupied by another vehicle.

A blind-spot monitor is a system that relies on radar or ultrasonic sensors in your rear bumper to alert you if another vehicle has entered into your blind spot while you're driving. Some systems go even further and include cameras and on-board monitors to give you even more visibility. If any other vehicle gets into your blind-spot and gets close enough to activate the sensors, they will alert you so you can avoid a costly accident.

Although blind-spot monitors do make driving safer and easier, they are by no means meant as a replacement for diligence on the road…
