I had a sensor replaced on my truck last year at Fairfield’s (about an hour away). Within 6 months the check engine light was back on with the same code. Brought it back in July and had to sit there for over 2 hours while they diagnosed the problem to only have them conclude it was a bad sensor that they had just replaced. I was told they were going to order the part and call me when it came in and replace it under warranty. Called once to check on the status and was told it was not in yet. In the beginning of November the check engine light came back on with the same code. I called them to check to see if the part was in, after they looked into it they said they never ordered the part. They then checked with the parts department and told me they had one in stock. I scheduled the next available appointment a few days out. Dropped it off the morning of the appointment. Got a call about an hour after dropping it off to be told that the parts department sold the sensor to another dealership after I scheduled the appointment to have it fixed. They said they would order another one but it is on back order and they don’t know when they would see it. So now my truck won’t pass inspection until who knows when. I need my truck for work so I lost a days work to have them tell me there was nothing they could do and will lose another day of work when the part finally comes in.
